General description

Mobisense Systems camera modules are desiged to answer the needs of mobile robotics vision: monochrome/color, high sensitivity, global shutter, high dynamic range, compact and low power. They are also well suited for many embedded and portable computer vision tasks.

All camera modules are connected to the processor board via a 30 pins FFC cable as long as 200mm. Thus, the camera modude can be placed independently of the processor board or mounted on a pan/tilt platform.

We currently propose 2 modules. We will soon add higher resolution sensors (1.3 and 3.1 Mpixels), a stereo head and a camera expander to connect up to 4 cameras simultaneaously on our Xscale® boards.

Software support

All proposed camera modules are supported on our Xscale® boards with Video For Linux V4L2 compatible drivers. The drivers are carefully optimized for highest frame rate via DMA to minimize CPU charge. Some drivers include additionnal sensor specific features that greatly enhance their performance.

FFC pinout

PWR: power pin

IN/OUT: input or output (depends if sensor is master or slave). Directions defined from sensor side.

OD: open drain output (I2C bus). Add pull-up resistor.
